Having just obtained our Open Water and Advanced Open Water PADI in Malaysia, we were keen to learn more and took a bus to Phuket in the hope to find two spots at a certified massage school.

It took some sweaty kilometres walking back and forth with our over-packed backpacks, but we managed to find an excellent teacher at Suai Spa School to which even professional masseurs and masseuses fly over all the way from the USA (and other countries).
A week of full-time giving and receiving massages and studying followed. In the evenings we had some free time to explore Phuket and watch the famous and unbelievable Simon Cabaret transvestite show with world famous lady boys. It took some hours of debating on how to distinguish these beautiful ladies from born women. Men be warned, it’s tricky!

Our teacher Mon couldn’t believe we didn’t have professional massage experience and called us the best students she ever had, which resulted in two official massage certificates; Aroma (Oil) Massage and Sports Massage.
