OJO DEL INCA
Only a 23 km beautiful ride from Potosi is a surprisingly perfectly circular, natural hot spring called ‘Ojo del Inca’, about 65 m in diameter. We parked our truck on the edge of the lake and paid BOB5 each for a pleasant 30 degrees warm bath by sunset.
A shame they build four houses near the lake, but the locals living there were very friendly and let us camp for free.
OUR PRIVATE 65 METRES HOT TUB
A very unique experience to step out of the motor home in bikini at -5°C and swimming circles in the steaming lake, surrounded by birds. We couldn’t stop looking at this beautiful ‘infinity’ lake and had breakfast at its shore, accompanied by a cute little puppy.
WARM WATER & STRONG SUN
Before heading to Sucre, a father with his toddler showed us the other two little boiling lakes. To thank him we gave a bottle of sunscreen, as the poor kid had burned his skin due to the sun and the freezing cold.
This mysterious place is one of our favourite camping spots, which we highly recommend!
